The Medical Center of Aurora has a special medical stabilization service called New Vision. This service aims to help those who suffer from alcohol and drug withdrawal symptoms.
The service begins with a medically supervised hospital stay, which typically lasts three to five days. This is a safe, confidential environment where patients' medical and physical needs are met. Prior to leaving the hospital, patients are referred to appropriate community-based programs that can help them resume and maintain a healthy lifestyle; residential programs, outpatient programs, physicians and group therapists.
